I want to take a moment to celebrate my nephew John “Tank” Williams. A senior in high school, a hard worker, and a young man who stayed focused on his goals. Tank will be attending Hampton University, an HBCU, on a football scholarship—a blessing he earned through discipline, sacrifice, and dedication.
He is a bright young man with a strong future ahead, and I couldn’t be prouder of the work he’s put in to get here. His journey is a reminder of how powerful it is when young Black men stay locked in on their dreams, block out distractions, and commit to their purpose.
Education, opportunity, and self-belief open doors—but focus keeps them open. Tank’s story is proof that hard work can pay off. Keep going, nephew. Your future is just getting started. 💙🏈📚
